The Town of Kill Devil Hills is accepting applications for the following position:  


FACILITY MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

This position is in the Buildings & Grounds Division and performs unskilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance and care of Town beach accesses, grounds, parks, and related Town properties.  Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Duties consist of cleaning all public buildings and restrooms and general maintenance.  Assists with preparation of rooms and facilities for special events; moves furniture and arranges rooms.  Performs unskilled to semi-skilled plumbing work including replacing toilet parts and replacing pipes to beach showers.  Graduation from high school and considerable experience in buildings and/or grounds maintenance work and some paraprofessional trades skills is desired.   Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force.  A valid N.C. driver’s license is required.  Starting pay rate is $35,332.
