Attention Disc Golfers:

You may notice survey flags around the Casey R. Logan Disc Golf Course. Don’t worry – these flags are NOT an indication of any changes to the course layout. They’re simply part of a surveying process of the entire Baum Tract area. Please be sure to avoid touching or moving the flags while you're out there. Moving the flags is considered vandalism and can extend the surveying process, resulting in additional costs to the Town.

The Town appreciates your understanding and cooperation.  Now, grab your discs and go enjoy the best course around!

Prevent Falls with Home Safety Modifications

Falls are a threat to the health of older adults and can reduce their ability to remain independent. However, falls don't have to be inevitable as you age. You can reduce your chance of falling or help a loved one prevent falls.

5 quick and easy home modifications you can make to improve safety:

  1. Secure some support: Buy a shower seat, grab bar, and adjustable-height handheld shower head to make bathing easier and safer.
  2. Light it up: Replace burnt-out bulbs with bright, non-glare lightbulbs.
  3. Have a seat: Place a sturdy chair in your bedroom so you can sit while getting dressed.
  4. Clear the way: Keep items off the stairs, and fix simple but serious hazards such as clutter and throw rugs.
  5. Store for success: Keep frequently used items between your waist and shoulder height.

Avoid slips, trips, and falls by taking a few precautions as outlined in the Town’s Falls Prevention Video.
