Complete an application to adopt a live oak tree

Adopt a Live Oak Tree

The Town of Kill Devil Hills Community Appearance Commission (CAC) worked to establish an official town tree, the Live Oak. Awareness and preservation efforts are conducted during the month of May with a ‘Love Your Live Oak’ campaign. Leading up to the campaign, the CAC will be accepting applications from KDH residents who are interested in receiving a live oak tree, at no cost to them, to plant on their property.

To receive a free young Live Oak Tree, please complete an application on the town’s website.

Applications will be collected through the last day of the year for review by the CAC in January. Limit one application per property owner.
