Do I need a permit to get married on the beach?
No permit is required. It is suggested that you inform the Police Department of your wedding date to alert them of possible parking problems. There are ordinances you should be aware of, too. No glass bottles are allowed on the beach. Beach driving is limited to the off-season months. And, there are noise regulations. If you plan on erecting a tent, please contact Fire Marshal John Risoldi, 252-480-4060; tents over a certain size are required to have a permit issued for them by North Carolina law.
