 ICE CREAM SOCIAL DAY!

The Kill Devil Hills Board of Commissioners & the Town of KDH proudly present the annual Ice Cream Social event. Join us on at Aviation Park , 103 Veterans Drive on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. for a FUN and FREE community event which will include hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, drinks, treats for dogs and ice cream, of course! There will be live music performed by the First Flight High School Fine Arts Group, large yard games, and more!
Join us for our First Annual Pie Baking Contest and Bake Sale, held in conjunction with the Ice Cream Social! This year, we’re looking for the best pies in town to compete for bragging rights and baked goods of all kinds to help local students. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a passionate amateur, we want your delicious creations! How to Participate: 1. Enter the Contest: Submit your homemade pie for a chance to win bragging rights and recognition. 2. Donate to the Bake Sale: If pie isn't your thing, no problem! You can still support and join the fun by donating homemade goodies for our bake sale. All proceeds from the baked goods sale will go towards the Wallace H. McCown Scholarship Fund. Each year KDH awards this scholarship to a qualifying high school senior to aid them in their college endeavors. Why Join? • Enjoy a day filled with community spirit and delectable treats. • Support a local student’s future - all proceeds from the bake sale will go towards the Town’s Wallace H. McCown Scholarship. • Win bragging rights and have good old-fashioned fun! For more details and to register, click here to visit the Town's website.
