Town of Kill Devil Hills

Santa Claus is Coming Back to Town!

If you missed our amazing Santa and the Wright Lights Illumination event, don't worry! KDH will host Santa Claus one more time before his "big day." Santa still has to check his list twice and finish his final preparations before Christmas, but he loves Kill Devil Hills and its people and plans to make one more appearance before heading back to the North Pole.

On Saturday, December 16th, at 7:00 p.m., the KDH Fire & Police Departments will be escorting Santa from Town Hall, down Veterans Drive, and back. Families can safely line the streets at Aviation Park and near the schools to greet Mr. Claus as he rides by.

After Santa passes by, continue the festivities with a stroll through Aviation Park to see the Wright Lights Illumination!

The Town of Kill Devil Hills is collecting donations to benefit Toys for Tots and Dare County’s Children & Youth Partnership’s Diaper Bank. By donating to these organizations, you are making a significant impact on the lives of your fellow neighbors. Though it may not seem like a big deal, donating a toy or a box of diapers is an act of kindness that can leave a lasting impression and make a real difference.

From Dare County:

Survey: Help Shape the Future for Dare County Children & Youth

The Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County invites members of the Dare County community to help plan for the future of local children and youth by taking a short survey that is designed to identify which services are currently the most needed in our area.

The feedback gathered from the five-question survey will be used at the sixth annual State of the Children Conference for Dare County in March 2024 to help guide future planning for Dare County children and youth. The goal of this program is to bring greater awareness about issues related to Dare County’s youth, including childcare, early learning, mental health and recreation.
