Breast Cancer Awareness Month

 Recognized in KDH

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the Grounds Division of Kill Devil Hills has created and displayed a 25-foot tall pink ribbon throughout the month at the Aviation Park Frog Pond located off Veterans Drive.

The purpose of this display is to raise awareness among the community about the preventive measures that can be taken to avoid breast cancer. It is also aimed at honoring the memories of those who have lost their lives to this disease and to encourage those who are currently courageously fighting it.
