Notice of Worksession and Public Hearing on Recommended Budget
On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. the KDH Board of Commissioners will hold a worksession and a public hearing to receive public comment, both written and oral, regarding the Town Manager's Recommended Budget for Fiscal Year 2023/2024.

Click the icons above to view the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year and to leave your comments on it. The Budget Portal will remain open until June 14th at noon. Any comments submitted through the Portal will be forwarded to the BOC as it reviews the Recommended Budget and considers its adoption.

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD OPEN FOR

DRAFT WATER SHORTAGE RESPONSE PLAN

North Carolina General Statute §143-355(1) requires each unit of government that provides water service to the public periodically update their water shortage response plan (WSRP). All WSRPs are required to be submitted to the Department of Environmental Quality, and must also be adopted by each unit’s governing board.  A 30-day public comment period is required before the plan can be adopted by the Board of Commissioners at its June 14, 2023, meeting.
