Planned Temporary Road Closure 

Newport News Street

Friday April 14, 2023

The Town of Kill Devil Hills will have a temporary road closure beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday April 14, 2023, for the south end of Newport News Street at its intersection with W. Durham Street, for utility and roadway improvements by Fred Smith Company.

Through traffic on Newport News Street will be prohibited during this work. Local traffic may use Norfolk Street to the east or Smithfield Street to the west to Suffolk Street to detour around the closure. Newport News Street will remain open from the north for access to adjacent homes.

 The temporary road closure is scheduled to end by 4:30 p.m. Friday April 14, 2023.
