PLANNED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

W. Durham Street

Monday, March 20 through Tuesday March 21, 2023

The Town of Kill Devil Hills will have a temporary road closure beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023, for W.  Durahm Street at its intersection with N. Croatan Hwy, for utility and roadway improvements by Fred Smith Company.

Through traffic on Durham Street will be prohibited during this work. Local traffic may use W. Avalon Dr. to Elizabeth City St. or W. Fifth St. to Bay Dr. to detour around the closure. Durham St. will remain open from the West for access to adjacent homes.

This will be a daily closure from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Durham Street will reopen at the end of each day. The daily road closures are scheduled to end by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday March 21, 2023.
