New Playground Installed at Hayman Park The Town is excited to share that new playground equipment has been installed at Hayman Park!
Not to worry, we aren’t finished improving Hayman Park just yet, but great things take time. Stay tuned for future additions coming to this beautiful area. For now, we hope the children will enjoy zipping down the slides and attempting to touch the sky from the swings.
The quality of our recreational facilities is of the highest importance to us and we are devoted to continuing to invest in and improve our parks.

Recently Adopted ProclamationsThe Board of Commissioners recently adopted a Proclamations Designating April as Child Abuse Prevention Month and Autism Awareness Month.
Child Abuse Prevention Month The Town of Kill Devil Hills recognizes the importance of families, caregivers, and communities working together to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes and communities for our children to grow and develop in a healthy manner.
In an effort to enhance awareness of child abuse, the Kill Devil Hills’ Fire Department installed pinwheels and cutouts of children at its station. They will host the display for the month of April. The pinwheel signifies the bright future all children deserve and the belief that getting it right early is less costly than trying to fix it later.
Report concerns of child abuse by calling the Dare County Department of Health and Human Services at 252-475-5500, 8:30 - 5:30 p.m., M-F. In the event of an emergency dial 911.
