PLANNED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES 

West Third Street with Creek Street
and Sea Swept Road Intersection
Wednesday, March 23, 2022

The Town of Kill Devil Hills will have a temporary road closure beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, for West Third Street at the intersection with Creek Street and at the intersection with Sea Swept Road for utility and roadway improvements by Fred Smith Company. 
 
Through traffic on West Third Street at the intersections will be prohibited during these closures. Sunset Avenue to the west of the closures can be used to detour from West Third Street to Clam Shell Drive, east to Seminole Street and on to West Third Street east of the closures. Local traffic between the closures will access West Third from the north using Clam Shell Drive. 
 
West Third Street will remain open locally between the closures for access to adjacent properties throughout the closure.
 
The temporary road closures are scheduled to end by 2:00 p.m. the same day.

Thursday, March 24th, 2022

The Town will also have a temporary road closure beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2022, for West Third Street at the intersection with Sioux Street for utility and roadway improvements by Fred Smith Company.
 
Through traffic on West Third Street at the intersection will be prohibited during this closure. Local traffic will access West Third Street from the west using Bay Drive. Creek Street to the west of the closure can be used to detour from West Third Street to Clam Shell Drive, east to Creek Street and on to West Third Street east of the closure. 
 
West Third Street will remain open from the west and east of the closure for access to adjacent properties throughout the closure.
 
The temporary road closure is scheduled to end by 2:00 p.m. the same day.
