Briefing from the National Weather Service

A strong and dynamic coastal storm is anticipated to affect our area late tonight and through tomorrow, January 3rd. Flooding is expected to occur, especially in the sound-side areas and ocean over-wash is likely. The storm system moving through will bring damaging wind gusts (around 50-60 mph), and isolated tornados are possible. Additionally, heavy rain will be an effect, as well as a possible brief changeover to snow/sleet (but no accumulations) are expected.
