2021 KDH Ice Cream Social Event
Kill Devil Hills’ neighbors came together last night to enjoy an evening of food and fellowship at the town’s annual Ice Cream Social event.
The KDH Fire Department and Fire Auxiliary staff were busy grilling hamburgers and hotdogs and serving them to attendees. They also provided community members with safety materials. The KDH Police Department was also in attendance providing youth with free bicycle safety equipment such as helmets and lights. Other town staff members joined in on the fun and passed out ice cream treats.
Helping to set the tone of the evening was the First Flight High School Jazz Band. Folks gathered around to listen to the talented students play. The KDH Community Appearance Commission informed citizens of their recent town initiatives: keeping KDH clean (including tackling cigarette butt litter), live oak tree preservation, plastic bag alternatives, and more.
A great time was had by all! The KDH Ice Cream Social is a prime example of what our town is all about – community. Visit our social media pages to see more photos from the event!
