Toy Run Award

An appreciation plaque was given to the Kill Devil Hills Police Department by Commissioner Terry Gray, who is the lead planner for the Dare County Motorcycle Toy Run. The plaque was given to the Police Department in recognition of their help in providing traffic control for the fifth Annual Dare County Motorcycle-Jeep Toy Run held on September 26, 2020. The Dare County Motorcycle Toy Run is a private foundation dedicated to ensuring that Dare County children in need have the opportunity to enjoy the holiday season each year. The September event raised $8,500 which contributed to a total of close to $40,000 raised by the group.

Beach Access Closures

The Glenmere and Prospect beach accesses are closed due to damage from recent rough beach conditions. To ensure your safety, please stay clear of the area until repairs have been made. The Town will provide an update when the accesses have re-opened.
