- Facility Maintenance Specialist
The Town of Kill Devil Hills is accepting applications for the following position:
FACILITY MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST
This position is in the Buildings & Grounds Division and performs unskilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance and care of Town facility parking lots, decks, walkways, beach, and sound access points including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing off roads and sidewalks, irrigation, and fertilizing. Work involves operating push and tractor mowers to cut grass and other similar tasks in varying weather conditions along busy streets, cleaning and removing trash from public facilities, assisting in fabricating, erecting, and repairing street signs, maintenance, and light repair of tools and equipment. On occasion, this position will assist with the preparation of rooms and facilities for special events; move furniture and arrange rooms. Experience in buildings and/or grounds maintenance work using mowers, trimmers, front end loader, backhoe, loader, forklift, and tractor with box blade preferred. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Graduation from high school desired and a valid N.C. driver’s license is required. The salary range for this position is $37,980 to $58,869 with an excellent benefits package.
